Today, Mr. Willie D. D. Morris , Community. Outreach Director for the East Bay Center for the Performing Arts , and representing the Richmond Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People appeared before the 'Board of Supervisors regarding a joint effort to utilize the play "Homeland" as an educational tool for the Richmond, East Bay Community regarding race relations and to recognize Black performers and playwrites in a serious production; IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the week-end of October 25 and October 26, 1985, i.s DESIGNATED as "Homeland" Week-end in Contra Costa County to call attention to the need to educate the public on the negative aspects of apartheidism.
