RESOLUTION NO. a s/s /
THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
DATE : October 1 , 1985
MATTER OF RECORD
SUBJECT: Hansen Lane/West Branch Boundary Reorganization (LAFC 85-14)
The Board this day held its scheduled hearing and adopted
Resolution 85/576 approving the Hansen Lane/West Branch Boundary
Reorganization (LAFC 85-14) which would annex territory to the
San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District and detach same from the
Tassajara Fire Protection District .
In connection with the aforesaid hearing the following
persons appeared:
Dewey Mansfield , Excutive Officer of the Local Agency
Formation Commission, who described the proposed reorganization .
Johnathon Cohen , Attorney for Gencor , who appeared in
favor of the reorganization .
Chief Blodgett of the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection
District who appeared in favor .
Stephen Morgan , Chairman of the Tassajara Fire Protection
District , who expressed concern that if the territory were detached
from Tassajara , it would be impossible for Tassajara to maintain
funding capability . He expressed concern about future allocation of
budget funds for equipment needs , commenting that at budget time Tassajara
will not be able to show that funds are available from new develop-
ment because the area of new development has been removed from the district ,
Mr . Morgan stated that he wished to put the Board of
Supervisors on notice that Tassajara will have equipment needs in
the future and that potential revenue is being removed by detaching
the areas that are being developed .
THIS IS A MATTER OF RECORD .
