APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director to execute a
termination agreement effective July1, 2011 with the State of California, Office of Systems
Integration to provide subject matter expert consultant services.
FISCAL IMPACT:
With the agreement termination, original funding was decreased from $358,447 to $164,582
BACKGROUND:
In December 2009, the Employment and Human Services Department, Children and Family
Services Bureau executed an agreement with the State of California, Office of Service
Integration to provide County Consultant Subject Matter Expert (SME) services. In
consideration for those services by the County SME, the State agreed to pay County SME's
salary and benefits and a County administrative fee of ten percent (10%) for related
administrative services up to a total agreement amount of $358,446.66 for the period of
December 2, 2009 through December 1, 2012. Due to State budget reductions, funds were
not allocated to sustain the project. The agreement has terminated with a revised term of
December 2, 2009 through June 30, 2011 and a decreased payment limit of $164,582.
