HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 08022011 - C.40RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #23-405-7 with John Muir Health, a non-profit corporation, effective June 23, 2011, to amend Contract #23-405-1 (as amended by subsequent amendments through #23-405-6), to increase the payment limit by $8,000, from $99,108 to a new payment limit of $107,108, with no change in the original term of September 1, 2007 through August 31, 2011. FISCAL IMPACT: This Amendment is funded 100% by Federal Human Resources Services Administration (HRSA) National Bioterrorism Funds. BACKGROUND: In January 2008 the County Administrator approved and the Purchasing Services Manager executed Contract #23-405-1 (as amended by subsequent amendments through #23-405-6) with John Muir Health, for the period from September 1, 2007 through August 31, 2011, for training for the National Bioterrorism Hospital Preparedness Program. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, the County will not be able to reimburse the Contractor state funds necessary to equip its hospital to improve readiness for the hospital preparedness program.
