HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 08022011 - C.32RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Sheriff-Coroner, or designee, to execute a contract amendment with Clancy Systems International, Inc., to extend the contract termination date from August 31, 2011 to August 31, 2013, and to clarify service delivery requirements, with no change in the current payment limit of $25,000. FISCAL IMPACT: None; no increase in current contract limit of $25,000 (Budgeted) BACKGROUND: On November 23, 2010, the Board approved a contract with Clancy Systems International, Inc., including mutual indemnification, to provide parking citation data processing and payment collection for all parking citations issued by the Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff and certain of its contract agencies. This amendment extends the term of the agreement for two years, from a termination date of August 31, 2011 to a new termination date of August 31, 2013. Contract Amendment and Extension BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) and contact information to further define delivery expectations. On September 1, 2010, the Contra Costa County Office of Revenue Collections (ORC) stopped processing parking citations for the law enforcement agencies in the county. This required each law enforcement agency to contract with outside vendors to process parking citations for payment. Since ORC was already utilizing Clancy Systems International, Inc.for parking citation tracking through a proprietary software and database system, the Office of the Sheriff contracted with Clancy Systems International, Inc., to ensure uninterrupted processing of the parking citations and accessibility to historical data already being stored on their database. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
