Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf
of the County, Contract #23-403-1 with Robert Half International, Inc., a corporation, in an
amount not to exceed $1,000,000, to provide temporary help services for specialized
consulting and computer programming support Department’s Health Services Information
Technology Division, for the period from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by the Medicare & Medicaid Electronic Health Records
(EHR) Incentive Program of the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
BACKGROUND:
Due to the highly specialized experience needed, the Health Services Department is in need
of staffing assistance to fill numerous vacant Information Technology positions in support of
the Epic EHR implementation. The Department has been unsuccessful at recruiting
qualified help to cover vacant positions for the specialized consulting and computer
programming support

Under Contract #23-403-1, Robert Half International, Inc. will provide professional
temporary help services to the Department’s Health Services Information Technology
Division, through June 30, 2012.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, the Department will not be able to implement and support
the EHR project.
