APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Department, or
designee, to accept a grant in the amount of $10,000 from the City of Walnut Creek for
small business development for 12 months from receipt of funds.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$10,000: 100% City of Walnut Creek Community Development Block Grant. No required
match.
BACKGROUND:
City of Walnut Creek Grant funds are used to benefit lower-income individuals by
providing management and financial training to assist qualifying participants in starting or
expanding a microbusiness, thus providing economic opportunities for low-to-moderate
income individuals.
