Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf
of the County, Contract #23-491 with the CJS Solutions Group, LLC., a limited liability
company, in an amount not to exceed $500,000, to provide consultation and technical
assistance to the Department with regard to project analysis and implementation of the Epic
Electronic Health Record System, for the period from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by Medicare & Medicaid Electronic Health Records (EHR)
Incentive Program of the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
BACKGROUND:
Under Contract #23-491 the Contractor will provide consultation and technical assistance to
the Department with regard to project analysis and implementation of the Epic Electronic
Health Record System including system optimization and configuration, training,
operational improvement and information security, through June 30, 2012.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, the Health Services Department would not be able to
implement and support the EHR initiative. This is the only Contract able to provide the
expertise necessary.
