HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07262011 - C.43RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, (Amendment) Agreement #28-344 (07-0712.A1) with the California Department of Health Care Services, effective June 1, 2011, to amend the Medi-Cal Targeted Case Management Provider Participation Agreement to make administrative and technical adjustments for the Medi-Cal Assistance Program with no change in the original amount of $22,000,000 payable to County, and no change in the term of July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: None. There is no change in the original amount of $22,000,000 in funds, payable to County for the Medi-Cal Assistance Program through 2012, from the California Department of Health Care Services. No additional County match is required. BACKGROUND: Since 1997, the Department of Health Care Services has funded many Local Governmental Agencies (LGA) to provide Targeted Case Management (TCM) Services. Due to California’s “Bridge to Reform”, BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) Section 1115 Medicaid demonstration waiver and the related Medi-cal managed care expansion, new TCM policies and procedures require an amendment to the current TCM provider Participation Agreement. This amendment Approval of Amendment #28-344 requires implementation of a collaborative approach between TCM providers and the Medi-cal managed care health plans in Contra Costa County and allow the County to continue receiving funding for the Medi-cal managed care expansion program through June 30, 2012.
