HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07262011 - C.38RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution #20957, to add four (4) permanent-intermittent Institutional Services Aide (1KWC) (represented) positions at salary level QS5 0828 ($2,425-$2,948) and two (2) permanent-intermittent Cook (1KWA) (represented) positions at salary level QS5 1059 ($3,048-$3,705) in the Health Services Department. FISCAL IMPACT: Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of $230,461.20 (if employees worked 40 hours a week) and will be offset by the cancellation of temporary positions. This action will result in no Net County Cost BACKGROUND: The Health Services Department is requesting the addition of these positions in order for the Nutrition Services Unit to retain a pool of employees that can be utilized on a intermittent basis to backfill for vacations and sick leave instead of utilizing long term temporary employees as per the recommendation of the Blue Ribbon Committee.
