ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution #20957, to add four (4) permanent-intermittent
Institutional Services Aide (1KWC) (represented) positions at salary level QS5 0828
($2,425-$2,948) and two (2) permanent-intermittent Cook (1KWA) (represented) positions
at salary level QS5 1059 ($3,048-$3,705) in the Health Services Department.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of $230,461.20 (if employees
worked 40 hours a week) and will be offset by the cancellation of temporary positions. This
action will result in no Net County Cost
BACKGROUND:
The Health Services Department is requesting the addition of these positions in order for the
Nutrition Services Unit to retain a pool of employees that can be utilized on a intermittent
basis to backfill for vacations and sick leave instead of utilizing long term temporary
employees as per the recommendation of the Blue Ribbon Committee.
The Department has evaluated the duties assigned to these positions and these are the
