Subject:2010-11 Calif. Dept. of Educ. preschool revenue contract (combined), amendment #2
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
approved receipt of funds for the 2010-11 program year on July 13, 2010. The Board
approved an amendment on January 11, 2011. The state routinely amends the agreement
within the program year to address changes to funding terms and conditions and to adjust
days of operation, as needed. The days of operation reduction is due to staff development
training days.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If not approved, County may lose revenue for 2 days of non-operation.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
The Employment & Human Services Department Community Services Bureau supports
three of Contra Costa County’s community outcomes - Outcome 1: “Children Ready for and
Succeeding in School,” Outcome 3: “Families that are Economically Self-sufficient,” and,
Outcome 4: “Families that are Safe, Stable, and Nurturing.” These outcomes are achieved
by offering comprehensive services, including high quality early childhood education,
nutrition, and health services to low-income children throughout Contra Costa County.
