HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07122011 - C.41RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment/Extension Agreement #29–521–11 with First 5 Contra Costa Children and Families Commission, effective July 1, 2011, to amend Contract #29–521–10, to increase the amount paid to County by $32,635, to a new payment limit of $710,485, and extend the term from June 30, 2011 through September 30, 2011. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by First 5 Contra Costa Children and Families Commission. (No County Funds) BACKGROUND: On December 14, 2010, the Board of Supervisors approved Interagency Agreement #29–521–10, with First 5 Contra Costa Children and Families Commission, for the period from October 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011, for the provision of residential substance abuse services for pregnant and/or parenting women and their children. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, Agency will not provide additional funds for the Corbin House project. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: This Alcohol and Drug Abuse program supports the Board of Supervisors’ “Families that are Safe, Stable, and Nurturing” community outcome by providing parenting education, stability, and safety for mothers (and their children) and pregnant women who are alcohol and drug dependent, while they are in substance abuse treatment.
