BACKGROUND: Established on December 13, 1994 the purpose of the Fish and Wildlife Committee is to: Advise the Board of Supervisors on fish and wildlife issues in Contra Costa County. Piepho, District III Supervisor Date:July 12, 2011 Contra Costa County Subject:REAPPOINTMENT TO THE FISH AND WILDLIFE COMMITTEE Make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors for the expenditure of funds from the Fish and Wildlife Propagation Fund pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 13103. BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) Address issues surrounding the enforcement of fish and game laws and regulations in the County. Consider other issues which may from time to time be referred to the Committee by the Board of Supervisors. The committee is comprised of ten members: One appointed by each Supervisor Four appointed by the Internal Operations Committee One alternate The current members term expired. Applications were accepted by the Supervisor's office and the recommendation to appoint the above individual was then determined. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: The seat will remain vacant.
