HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07122011 - C.10RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE the Clyde Pedestrian Path project contingency fund increase of $85,000 for a
new contingency fund total of $117,968.50, and a new payment limit of $447,653.50
effective July 12, 2011, Clyde area (100% Road funds) Project No. 4660-6X4114-10.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The $85,000 increase in contingency funds will be funded by Road funds (100%).
BACKGROUND:
The Contractor, FANFA Inc. has recently submitted an estimate to cover unforeseen issues
with soft subgrade and other minor change orders that exceeds the balance remaining in the
project contingency fund. The requested increase of $85,000 will cover the cost of the
recent request by FANFA, Inc., plus provide a small balance for additional unforeseen
changes that may occur over the final weeks of the project.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The lack of approval would prevent successful completion of this contract and preclude
payment to the contractor for compensation due to them for completing required work.
