Subject:APPROVE Notice of Intention to Convey Real Property to the State of California, Pittsburg area. Project
No.: 4660-6X4287
BACKGROUND:
On January 1, 2000 the Board approved Agreement No. 124 for the State Route 4 East
Railroad Avenue to Loveridge Road project to provide right of way services by County
staff to CCTA. CCTA required a variety of right of way services but had no right of way
staff and contracted with the County for these services.
County staff has acquired all the necessary right of way in the County’s name for the
widening of State Highway 4 Railroad to Loveridge Project and is recommending that the
County convey the right of way to the State of California pursuant to the May 15, 2001
Joint Powers Agreement between the County, the State, and CCTA on file in the Public
Works Department.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
County would continue to own property within the State Highway 4 right of way and
would not be in compliance with the Joint Powers Agreement.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
Not applicable.
