APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee,
to execute a contract with FamiliesFirst, Inc., dba EMQ Families First in an amount not to
exceed $203,585 to provide Child Welfare Redesign Differential Response Program for the
period July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$203,585: 100% State Child Welfare Services Outcomes Inprovement Program
BACKGROUND:
The Employment and Human Services Department, Children and Family Services (CFS)
Bureau is implementing Child Welfare (CWS) Redesign to enhance current service delivery
and improve outcomes for children and families. The redesign plan includes providing early
intervention services, developing community partnerships, and increasing the number of
resource families. The Department issued a Request for Proposals #1120 in order to solicit
organizations interested in providing case management services to families at-risk of
becoming involved with the Child Welfare System.
