HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06282011 - C.62RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Sheriff-Coroner, or designee, to execute a contract with the State of California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST), including full indemnification of the State of California, to pay the County an amount not to exceed $40,050 to provide Emergency Vehicle Operations Course instruction for the period July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: No County Costs. $40,050; 100% Revenue, State of California. Budgeted in fiscal year 2011/12. BACKGROUND: The Office of the Sheriff - Law Enforcement Training Center provides State Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) approved Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) instruction, required by P.O.S.T., for qualified law enforcement personnel. P.O.S.T. provides funding on an annual basis for agencies that present this training. The contract allows the Law Enforcement Training Center to train 90 students at a cost not to exceed $445 per student.
