APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Sheriff-Coroner, or designee, to execute a contract
amendment with the Town of Danville for law enforcement services by adding a paragraph
related to injured Motorcycle Patrol Unit personnel with no changes in payment limit or
term.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No County costs. This amendment will not have a financial impact on the County.
BACKGROUND:
The Town of Danville and the Sheriff's Office request amendment to the contract for law
enforcement services to add a paragraph related to the replacement of injured motorcycle
officer salary during recovery and rehabilitation time resulting from an on-duty injury.
Executing this amendment ensures that costs associated with compliance with State of
California Labor Code section 4850 are borne by the Town. Further, this amendment will
provide protection for deputies working under this contract as Danville
