CLOSE Public Hearing and ADOPT Resolution No. 2011/227 effecting the fee adjustments and superseding and replacing Resolution No. 2009/301. FISCAL IMPACT: The adoption of Resolution No. 2011/227 will update the fees charged to user agencies for forensic services provided by the Office of the Sheriff. BACKGROUND: In June 2009, the Board approved a fee structure to recover actual costs incurred by the Office of the Sheriff to provide specific services. The District Attorney or Public Defender’s Office will not be charged for basic discovery of drugs, alcohol or toxicology cases, or a standard breath alcohol discovery. Private attorneys, pro per defendant and non-Contra Costa County government agencies will be charged a fee of $50 for basic discoveries and $250 for extensive discoveries.
