to execute a Purchase Order with General Electric Healthcare in the amount of $1,064,909
for a Innova 3100 Digital Cardiovascular System at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center.
This purchase will replace the current Advantx Tilt-C Classical R&F System.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% Enterprise Fund I.
BACKGROUND:
As equipment ages and technology advances many parts and components are no longer
produced thereby rendering these older units “End of Life”. Contra Costa Regional Medical

after August 31, 2011, GE Healthcare will no longer renew or offer new service agreements

program at CCRMC. This systems technology will broadens the scope of practice in the
Diagnostic Imaging Department.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Due to the “End of Life” status this system will no longer be supported by General Electric
Healthcare. Without the ability to have parts and other components available service
becomes unattainable. Therefore the department will experience, extended patient hospital
stays, costly referrals to outside facilities, equipment downtime, and patient care delays.
