Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf
of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #26-305-26 with Vista Staffing Solutions,
Inc., a corporation, effective July 1, 2011, to amend Contract #26-305-25 to decrease the
payment limit by $450,000, from $800,000 to a new payment limit of $350,000, with no
change in the original term of October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2011.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. (No increase in rates).
BACKGROUND:
On October 12, 2010, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-305-25 with Vista
Staffing Solutions, Inc. for the period from October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2011, to
provide temporary physicians for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa
Health Centers.
At the time of negotiations the Payment Limit was based on target levels of utilization. Due

of this locum tenens registry, the payment limit of this Contract is being decreased.
Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #26-305-26 will allow the Contractor to
continue to provide temporary physician services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center
and Contra Costa Health Centers, through September 30, 2011.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this amendment is not approved, Contra Costa Regional Medical Center would not be
able to utilize other registries to provide appropriate physician coverage.
