HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06212011 - C.65RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #25–051–9 with Neighborhood House of North Richmond, a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $120,675, to provide substance abuse treatment services to County’s homeless clients, for the period from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Federal Substance Abuse/Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: This Contract meets the social needs of County’s population by providing SAMHSA-required alcohol and drug abuse treatment services, including residential treatment, intensive day treatment, and detoxification services to homeless individuals at Brookside Shelter. Approval of Contract #25–051–9 will allow the Contractor to continue providing services through June 30, 2012. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, homeless individuals at Brookside Shelter will not receive the substance abuse treatment services provided by Contractor.
