Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee to execute on behalf of
the County, Contract #74-184-25(4) with Nannette Finley-Hancock, MFT, (dba Paradise
Cove Psychology Services), a self-employed individual, in an amount not to exceed
$140,000, to provide Medi-Cal specialty mental health services for the period from July 1,
2011 through June 30, 2013.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by Medi-Cal Funds offset 50% State and 50% Federal. (No
rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
On August 4, 2009, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #74-184-25(3) with
Nannette Finley-Hancock, MFT (dba Paradise Cove Psychology Services), to provide
Medi-Cal specialty mental health services, for the period from July 1, 2009 through June
30, 2011. Approval of Contract #74-184-25(4) will allow the Contractor to continue to
provide Medi-Cal specialty mental health services through June 30, 2013.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, services provided to Contra Costa Mental Health Plan
Medi-Cal beneficiaries could be negatively impacted including access to services, choice of
providers, cultural competency, language capacity, geographical locations of service
providers and waiting lists.
