FISCAL IMPACT: This action increases revenue and appropriations by $332,000. There is no change in net County cost. BACKGROUND: The 2007 PSIC Grant will fund the purchase and installation of dispatch consoles and related back-up equipment needed for the continued build-out of the East Bay Regional Communication System (EBRCS). The consoles are integral to providing the best voice communication performance with the existing infrastructure. The key to the interoperability project is that every component must be 100% compatible. The existing system cannot be expanded with another vendor's product and it is this fact that serves as the primary justification for doing business with Motorola. The decision to proceed with Motorola is supported by the East Bay Regional Communication System Authority APPROVE OTHER RECOMMENDATION OF CNTY ADMINISTRATOR RECOMMENDATION OF BOARD COMMITTEE Action of Board On: 06/21/2011 APPROVED AS RECOMMENDED OTHER Clerks Notes: VOTE OF SUPERVISORS AYE:John Gioia, District I Supervisor Mary N.
