HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 05242011 - C.57RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of Health Services Department, to execute a blanket Purchase Order with American Medical System, in the amount of $250,000 to purchase supplies and implants for the Gynecological and Urological Surgery Units at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center, for a period from January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2013. FISCAL IMPACT: 100% Enterprise Fund I. BACKGROUND: American Medical System’s min-arc is a single incision sling used for stress and mid-urethral support for incontinence. Anterior elevate and vault suspension kit is used for cystocele (bladder mesh) and vaginal apex support. The posterior elevate and vault suspension biologic dermis is use for rectocele (rectum mesh) and vaginal apex support. American Medical System is the only vendor who sells these one-of-a-kind products on the market for women’s health.
