AUTHORIZE relief of cash shortage in the Health Services Department, Mental Health
Division, Specialized Services Petty Cash Account used for client services in the amount of
$2,340 as recommended by the Auditor-Controller.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Cash shortage in the amount of $2,340.
BACKGROUND:
In accordance with the provisions of Administrative Bulletin 207.7, the Health Services
Department, Mental Health Division requests relief of a cash shortage in the Specialized
Services Petty Cash Account used for mental health clients in the amount of $2,340. The
improper expenses were not caused by fraud or gross negligence. Staff have been advised
that these type of expenses are no longer acceptable.
The Auditor-Controller recommends, and the County Administrator's Office concurs, that
the Board of Supervisors grant relief of the short to the Health Services Department for
these funds.
