AUTHORIZE relief of cash shortage in the Health Services Department, Mental Health
Division, Spirit of Caring program, in the amount of $591.75, as recommended by the
Auditor-Controller.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Cash shortage in the amount of $591.75.
BACKGROUND:
In accordance with the provisions of Administrative Bulletin 207, the Health Services
Department requests relief of a cash shortage that occurred in the Mental Health Division in
the amount of $591.75.
An unreimbursed expense for services to a mental health client was erroneously paid
through petty cash instead of a purchase order. the program manager attested that the
improper expense was not caused by fraud or gross negligence. Staff have been advised of
regulations and all requests for funds are closely monitored.
