HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 05172011 - C.47RECOMMENDATION(S): Correct the Board Order which was approved by the Board of Supervisors on March 22, 2011, agenda Item (C.40), Contract #23-485 with Institute for Healthcare Improvement, a non-profit corporation, to correct the term of the Contract of January 1, 2011 to December 31, 2011 to read May 15, 2011 through May 14, 2012, with no change to the payment limit amount not to exceed $419,756 to provide professional consultation and technical support services to Contra Costa Regional Medical Center’s (CCRMC), Chief Executive Officer. FISCAL IMPACT: The Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise I funds. BACKGROUND: On March 22, 2011, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #23-485 with Institute for Healthcare Improvement, a non-profit corporation, to provide professional consultation and technical support services to the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center’s (CCRMC), Chief Executive Officer, with regard to quality improvement for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center’s APPROVE OTHER RECOMMENDATION OF CNTY ADMINISTRATOR RECOMMENDATION OF BOARD COMMITTEE Action of Board On: 05/17/2011 APPROVED AS RECOMMENDED OTHER Clerks Notes: VOTE OF SUPERVISORS AYE:John Gioia, District I Supervisor Gayle B. Unfortunately, the Board order which was approved did not contain the correct term. The term should read May 15, 2011 through May 14, 2012, as mutually agreed upon by both County and Contractor. This contract includes modifications to the Standard General Conditions, Paragraph 26, Endorsement in the special conditions. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, the County will not be able to receive necessary technical support and consulting services with regard to quality care improvement for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center’s Ambulatory Care integration systems.
