HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 05102011 - C.57RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Unpaid Student Training Agreement #26-695 with University of the Pacific, Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Services, an educational institution, to provide field instruction at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center for Contractor’s students, for the period from April 1, 2011 through March 31, 2016. FISCAL IMPACT: None BACKGROUND: The purpose of this agreement is to provide Contractor’s students with the opportunity to integrate academic knowledge with applied skills at progressively higher levels of performance and responsibility. Supervised fieldwork experience for students is considered to be an integral part of both the educational and professional preparation. The Health Services Department can provide the requisite field education, while at the same time, taking advantage of the students’ services to patients.
