APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the fiscal year 2010/2011 Martinez Transfer Station
Mitigation allocation plan in the amount of $4,800.00 for specified projects, as
recommended by Supervisor Uilkema.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% Martinez Transfer Station Mitigation Fees.
BACKGROUND:
Supervisor Uilkema and her staff have evaluated proposals for the FY 2010/2011 funding
for consistency with the service categories approved by the Finance Committee in FY
2003-2004 for the Keller Canyon Landfill Mitigation Funds. These are:
A. Youth Services
B. Code Enforcement
C. Community Beautification
D. Public Safety
E. Community Services

Subject:Allocation of 2010/2011 Martinez Transfer Station Funds
The Supervisor has concluded that the following project totaling $4,800.00 should be
funded as follows:
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
County Services Area R-10 Citizens Advisory Committee (CSA R-10) $4,800.00
The CSA R-10 advises the Board of Supervisors and the administrative department
regarding the desires of the community in the area of local park and recreation facilities and
services. In this role, the CSA R-10 sponsors a number of community-wide recreational
events for the community of Rodeo. Such events include the 5K Run/Walk and Music
Festival, Mural Painting, Street Art and Kite Flying at the Town Square, Pumpkin Carving
Day, and the Christmas Tree Lighting. The funds to be allocated will allow the CSA R-10 to
expand the planned activities and plan additional events.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
District II will not have the authorization to distribute the allocation Martinez Transfer
Station Funds.
