HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 05102011 - C.01RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute a Permit for Temporary Entry or Use of Portions of the Contra Costa Canal System and Contra Costa Water District Rights-of-Way for the Pomo Street Arch Culvert Corrosion Repair project, Bay Point area. (100% Local Road funds) Project No. 0662-6U4090-10 FISCAL IMPACT: The project cost $307,192 is funded with 100% Local Road funds. BACKGROUND: Contra Costa Water District requires a Permit for Temporary Entry or Use of Portions of the Contra Costa Canal System and Contra Costa Water District Rights-of-Way to be executed to do work within their right-of-way. The permit document has an indemnification clause which requires Board authorization. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Without this executed permit, the project cannot be constructed, as access to Contra Costa Water District’s right-of-way is necessary.
