APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute a purchase
order, on behalf of the Public Works Director, with Nixon-Egli Equipment Co. in an amount
not to exceed $190,210 for the purchase of two replacement LeeBoy Pavers for use by the
Road Maintenance Division.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Public Works Department is replacing two pavers for an estimated total cost of
$190,210. The purchase will be funded with accumulated depreciation of $85,779, estimated
salvage $3,037 and funds transferred from the Public Works Department Road Maintenance
- Road Fund Budget.
BACKGROUND:
The Public Works Department is replacing a twenty four year old paver (Equipment
Number #7808, 1987 Layton F-525) acquired for $20,198 and a fifteen year old paver
(Equipment Number 7810, 1995 LeeBoy 8500) acquired for $68,081. Both pieces of
equipment are being replaced due to age and poor mechanical condition.
