APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee,
to execute a contract amendment with Community Violence Solutions to increase the
payment limit by $30,000 to a new payment limit not to exceed $103,881 for crisis
intervention and advocacy services, for the period July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$103,881: 100% County Funds
BACKGROUND:
Contractor provides crisis intervention and in-person advocacy services to victims of sexual
assault and rape in Contra Costa County. This amendment increases the payment limit by
$30,000 to enable the contractor to continue providing services through contract term.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Valuable services will not be provided.

CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
This contract supports two of the community outcomes established in the Children's Report
Card: 2) "Children and Youth Healthy and Preparing for Productive Adulthood"; and 4)
"Families that are Safe, Stable, and Nurturing", by providing crisis inervention and
advocacy for victims of sexual assault.
