Approve and authorize the Health Services Director or his designee, to execute, on behalf of
the County, Contract #26-627-1 with David Franklin Osborne, M.D., a self-employed
individual, in an amount not to exceed $486,000, to provide professional orthopedic services
at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers, for the period
from May 15, 2011 through May 14, 2014.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
On May 20, 2008, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-627 with David
Franklin Osborne, M.D., for the period from May 15, 2008 through May 14, 2011, for the
provision of orthopedic services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center including but not
limited to consultation, training and medical/surgical procedures.
Approval of Contract #26-627-1 will allow the Contractor to continue providing services
through May 14, 2014.
