FISCAL IMPACT: There is an annual cost of approximately $188,000.00, which is offset by overtime or registry costs. In the past six months, these employees have consistently worked the increased hours: 1) Cardiology Technician II position #9620 and incumbent Roya Iranpour, from 36/40 to 40/40; 2) Cardiology Technician I position #9621 and incumbent Yves Mottier, from permanent-intermittent to 40/40; 3) Institutional Services Worker-Generalist position #9031 and incumbent Juan Coras, from permanent intermittent to 40/40; 4) Registered Dental Assistant position #14033 and incumbent Shirley Grossi, from 20/40 to 40/40. Additionally, the Department is requesting to increase the hours of Pharmacist I Position #9958 and incumbent Kenneth Nguyen, from 20/40 to 40/40 due to the Pharmacy Division's increase in patient load, and medication management regulatory requirements. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this action is not approved, the Department will not have sufficient staff to meet its operational needs, which impacts patient care services.
