Subject:Rescind the Assignment of Easement dated 2-8-11 and Assign the corrected Easement over a segment of
SR4 (E) Widening-Somersville Rd Rt 160 (Segment 1)
FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact
BACKGROUND:
The County acquired various property rights in connection to the highway widening
project. PG&E had to relocate their existing easement over a portion of County right of
way, known as SR4. The Assignment of Easement that was approved on February 8,
2011 assigned more rights than what the County had. In order for PG&E to continue its
proper distribution of electric energy and transmission, the County needs to rescind the
action taken on February 8, 2011 and assign the corrected easement rights.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
PG&E would not have the necessary land rights for distribution of electric energy and
transmission purposes to be located within the approved plans and specifications.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
Not applicable.
