HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04122011 - C.58RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, on behalf of the Workforce Development Board of Contra Costa, to execute a non-financial Memorandum of Understanding with Diablo Valley College as a host agency to the Title V Work Experience Program to provide training and work experience services to Title V qualifying older adults in Contra Costa County, including mutual indemnification against any claim arising out of the performance of this agreement for the period of April 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: None. BACKGROUND: The Title V Work Experience Program gives participants an opportunity to learn job skills. Host agencies that agree to participate in the Title V Work Experience Program provide training and guidelines to the program participants in the areas of soft skills, including work etiquette and workplace culture, and hard skills, including job/employment skills training and practice in the use of recently acquired skills.
