HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04122011 - C.39RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment & Human Services director, or designee, to apply for and accept funding from Kaiser Permanente, in an amount not to exceed $20,000, for a violence prevention program during the term July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: 100% grant funded. No County match. BACKGROUND: The Department wishes to apply for funding from Kaiser Permanente for a violence prevention program. The requested funds will support staff training and program technical assistance around the subject of child abuse prevention. The program, Adults and Children Together (ACT) Against Violence, will be implemented at various childcare sites.
