APPOINT the following person to the Appointee 1 Seat of the Rodeo Municipal Advisory
Council for a two-year term with an expiration date of February 1, 2013, as recommended
by Supervisor Uilkema:

BACKGROUND:
Established on February 15, 1994 by Resolution No. 94/94, the purpose of the Rodeo
Municipal Advisory Committee (MAC) is to formulate recommendations for future Rodeo
MAC operations.
The Rodeo MAC is comprised of seven members serving staggered terms: 2, 4, and 6 serves

Supervisor Uilkema has been advertising the Rodeo MAC vacancy in local newspapers and
her own newsletter over the last several months. Mr. Paulsell submitted an application, met
with Supervisor Uilkema and was then interviewed by the Rodeo MAC. Supervisor
Uilkema feels that Mr. Paulsen has valuable experience and interest in the community of
Rodeo which will benefit by his service on the Rodeo MAC. The Rodeo MAC supports her
recommendation as well.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
None.
