HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04052011 - SD.4RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Resolution No. 2011/122 approving the Side Letter of Agreement between the County and Public Employees Union, Local One granting employees in the classifications of Physical Therapist I and II, Occupational Therapist I and II, Therapy Assistant, and Therapy Aide in the California Children Services (CCS) Program in the Health Services Department to work schedules that includes variable daily work hours, as recommended by the Human Resources Director. FISCAL IMPACT: No Fiscal Impact. BACKGROUND: Due to staffing and the nature of the work these classes perform in the California Children Services Program; it is necessary for some employees to work schedules that include variable daily work hours. A side letter of agreement was signed by the County and Local One on March 17, 2011. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this action is not approved by the Board, it will negatively impact the Department by not allowing the California Children Services Program the flexibility to properly staff the Unit, which provides therapy services to handicapped children in the County.
