Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Health Services Department, to execute a change to
Purchase Order #27076 with Complete Imaging to add $350,000 for a new total of $435,000, for copier and fax
supplies throughout the Health Services Department, with no change in the three year term expiring on June 30,
2011.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% Enterprise Fund I.
BACKGROUND:
Complete Imaging has been repairing the County’s fax machines and other equipment for the past 10 years.
Department’s with repair needs call the vendor, who comes immediately to the location to repair the machine.
Complete Imaging also sells fax and printer cartridges at a much lower rate than other vendors, enabling the county to
save money on these necessary purchases. With the tremendous amount of faxes the County sends it is essential that
the machines are kept operating and that new cartridges be available at a competitive price.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, the county’s productivity will suffer and essential services will be delayed. The
county makes extensive use of fax machines and would find it difficult to operate without them.
