HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04052011 - C.56RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to execute a contract amendment with Dr. Robert Sargent, effective March 1, 2011 to increase the payment limit by $18,520 to a new payment limit not to exceed $144,520, with no change in the term of July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011, to provide additional psychological evaluations, Mental Health Status Evaluations, and Substance Abuse Counseling for General Assistance. FISCAL IMPACT: $144,520: 100% County. BACKGROUND: The Mental Health Status Evaluations for General Assistance (GA) clients are required to determine if GA clients are fully able to participate and meet GA program requirements. The Substance Abuse Counseling is a program designed to identify and evaluate GA clients who may be addicted to substance abuse and need to be referred for treatment. This amendment will increase the contract payment limit by $18,520 from $126,000 to a new contract payment limit of $144,520, to reflect an unanticipated need for services during the contract term of July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011.
