Technician (JD7A) (represented) at salary level 3RX 1236 ($3623 - $4627); reduce the hours of one (1) vacant
Account Clerk - Experienced Level (JDVC) (represented) position #7129 at salary level 3RH 0755
($2947 - $3653) from 40/40 to 32/40 in the Health Services Department.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Upon approval, this action will result in a cost savings of approximately $4900 annually.
BACKGROUND:
Wesley Prieto has been an Account Clerk - Advanced level with the Finance Division for approximately 5 years.
Over the past few years, changes in the finance division including the introduction of new business systems (Such as
PARS and J-Point) have changed the nature of Mr. Prieto's job and the duties that he performs. As a result,

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
he now has duties and job responsibilities indicative of that of an Accounting Technician.
Health Services is requesting this action in order to properly classify and compensate Mr. Prieto for the work he is
now performing. Furthermore, he meets all the requirements of Personnel Management Regulations section 503,
Reclassification Without Exam.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Failure to approve this action will result in the incumbent being incorrectly classified and compensated.
