HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04052011 - C.28RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE Appropriations Adjustment No. 5026 authorizing the transfer of appropriations in the amount of $55,000 from Plant Acquisition (0111) to Office of the Sheriff (0255) for the purchase of a bullet tank. FISCAL IMPACT: This action increases appropriations in Office of the Sheriff (0255) and reduces appropriations in Plant Acquisition (0111) by $55,000. There is no additional net county cost. BACKGROUND: The bullet tank is an essential piece of equipment for forensic firearms analysis. Any gun submitted to the lab must be test fired and the bullets recovered in order to compare the marks the gun left on the test fired bullets to marks from bullets recovered from homicide victims. The bullet tank allows for this bullet capture to occur.
