APPOINT Laura Ferree to the Local Committee City of San Ramon seat on the Advisory Council of Aging, as
recommended by the Employment and Human Services Director.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None
BACKGROUND:
The mission of the Contra Costa Advisory Council on Aging is to advise the Board (acting as the Area Agency on
Aging), and the Employment and Human Services Department, Adult and Aging Serivces Division, on all matters
related to the development, operation and administration of the annual Area Agency Plan. The Council provides a
means for Countywide planning, cooperation and coordination for individuals and groups interested in improving
and developing services and opportunities for the County's older residents.
The Council consists of representatives of the target population and the general public, including older low-income
and minority persons; at least one-half of the membership must be made up of actual consumers

The City of San Ramon has request that Ms. Ferree represent the City of San Ramon on the Advisory Council on
Aging. The term of this appointment expires September 30, 2012. Ms. Ferree's address is: 2 Indigo Lane, San

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The Advisory Council on Aging will be unable to conduct routine business effectively.
