CAEIFORNIA Adopted this Order on January 30, 1990 by the following vote: AYES: Supervipors PowerF , McPeak, Schroder, TorlakFon, Fanden NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None In the Matter of Adjusting 1990 Compensation for Full-time ) RESOLUTION NO. 90/ .64 Employees in County Volunteer Fire Protection Districts. WHEREAS the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution 88/75 effective January 1, 1988 which established continuing policy for maintenance of pay rates and other compensation for full-time employees in the volunteer fire districts of East Diablo, Bethel Island, Byron, Oakley, Crockett and Tassajara; and WHEREAS the Board of Supervisors on February 28, 1989 adopted Resolution 89/108 which made effective a Memorandum of Understanding between the County and Local 1230, International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) containing provisions for a general increase effective January 1, 1990 based upon a formula containing variables including the Bay Area Consumer. Price Index and prevailing pay in comparable fire departments; and WHEREAS the Board of Supervisors on January 30, 1990 adopted a Resolution which implemented a similar general increase for fire management classifications in County merit system Fire Districts effective January 1, 1990: NOW THEREFORE, the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors in its capacity as governing board of the County of Contra Costa and all districts of which it is the ex-officio governing board RESOLVES THAT: A. The following rates of pay for full-time employees of East Diablo and Bethel Island volunteer fire districts are established effective January 1, 1990. 1. East Diablo Fire Chief C3-2298 ($4983 - 5493) 1st Assistant Chief C3-2141 ($4259 - 4696) 2nd Assistant Chief C3-2088 ($4039 - 4453) 2. Bethel Island Fire Chief C5-2039 ($3489 - 4241) Assistant Fire Chief C5-1993 ($3332 - 4050) Battalion Chief C5-1915 ($3082- 3746) B. Full-time employees of the several volunteer fire protection districts whose position titles are listed in Sections A and B above shall continue to be eligible to participate in the County Health Plan program of combined medical , dental and life insurance coverages through Contra Costa County Health Plan (CCHP) , Herrick-Alta Bates Health Service (HEALS) , Kaiser-Permanente Foundation (KPF) , First Choice Health Plan (1st Choice) , Delta Dental Service (DDS), Safeguard Dental Plan (SDG) and Aetna Life Insurance. Effective 11/1/89, the volunteer Fire Districts will contribute up to the following monthly amounts toward the existing program of insured coverage(s) provided; except that effective February 28, 1990 the HEALS Health Plan will be terminated.
