HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03222011 - C.07RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Resolution No. 2011/107 approving the application to the California Department of Water Resources to obtain Stormwater Flood Management grant funds totaling $2,000,000 under the Disaster Preparedness and Flood Prevention Bond Act of 2006 (Public Resources Code Section 5096.800 et seq.) (Proposition 1E), Antioch area. (50% California Department of Water Resources Proposition 1E Funds and 50% matching Flood Control District Funds) FISCAL IMPACT: The Contra Costa County Flood Control and Water Conservation District (FC District) will be required to provide 50% matching funding for the project. The FC District is applying for $2,000,000 of grant funding and has sufficient funds in Fund Number 256200 (Drainage Area 130) to provide the 50% match. BACKGROUND: The purpose of the proposed grant application is to obtain Stormwater Flood Management funding from the California Department of Water Resources for the construction of Upper Sand Creek Basin.
