HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 01221985 - X.10 N . � r r THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Resolution on January 22, 1985, by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Schroder, Torlakson and Powers NOES: None ABSENT: Supervisors Fanden and McPeak RESOLUTION NO. 85/34 (Government Code No. 25350) SUBJECT: Intention to Purchase Real Property for Preservation of Future Public Use Corridor W.O. 5512 Concord, Danville, and Alamo Areas RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO PURCHASE REAL PROPERTY The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT: It intends to purchase from the Contra Costa County Redevelopment Agency for Preservation of the Corridor for future public use, the real property described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, for $1,500,000.00, which is a fair and reasonable price therefor. The pruchase shall be in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Repayment Agreement between the County of Contra Costa and the Contra Costa County Redevelopment Agency, dated December 27, 1984,. a copy of which agreement is on file in the Public Works Department. This Board will meet on February 19, 1985, at 10:30 a.m. in the Board's Chambers, County Administration Building, 651 Pine Street, Martinez, California, to consummate this purchase and the Clerk of this Board is DIRECTED to publish the following notice in the Martinez News-Gazette pursuant to Government Code Section 6063. NOTICE OF INTENTION TO PURCHASE REAL PROPERTY The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County declares its intention to purchase from the Contra Costa County Redevelopment Agency, at a price of $1,500,000.00, portions of the abandoned Southern Pacific corridor in the Concord, Alamo and Danville areas, more particularly described in Resolution No. 85/ 34 of the Board and will meet at 10:30 a.m. on February 19, 1985, in its Chambers, County Administration Building, 651 Pine Street, Martinez, California, to consummate the purchase. M. Stowe et al to Southern Pacific Railroad Company, a California corporation, recorded June 10, 1,891 in Book 60 of Official Records, Page 128, described as follows: A strip or tract of land fifty (50) feet wide, lying equally on each side of the located line of the San Ramon Branch of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company' s railroad, where the same is located through the Rancho Monte del Diablo, commencing at a point on the center line of the said railroad where said center line intersects the Northwesterly boundary line of land of said party of the first part at or near survey station 309+72 of said renter line and running thence Southerly along said center line of said Southern Pacific Railroad embracing a strip of land 25 feet wide on each side of said center line to the Southeasterly boundary line of land of said party of the first part at or near survey station 323+04 of said center line a distance of 1,332 feet, more or less. PARCEL NO. 6 All that real property situated in the County of Contra Costa, described as follows: The real property described in the deed from Joseph Munson and Frank Munson to Southern Pacific Railroad Company, a California corporation recorded June 10, 1891 in Book 60 of Deeds, Page 113, described as follows: A strip or tract of land 100 feet in width, lying equally on each side of the located line of the San Ramon Branch of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company's railroad where the same is located through the Rancho Monte del Diablo, commencing at a point on the center line of said railroad where said center line intersects the northwesterly boundary line of land of said party of the first part at or near survey station 323+04 of said center line and running thence Southerly along said center line of said Southern Pacific Railroad and following the curvature thereof embracing a strip of land fifty (50) feet wide on each side of said center line to the southeasterly boundary line of lands of said party of the first part at or near survey station 343+84 of said center line a distance of 2,080 feet, more or less.
