HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03152011 - C.86RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Department, or designee, to execute a contract amendment with the Regents of the University of California, Davis to increase the payment limit by $40,664 to a new payment limit of $81,328 for Community Services training, for the period July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011, and authorize a mutual indemnification clause in the contracts. FISCAL IMPACT: $81,328: 100% State and Federal CFDA#93.709 BACKGROUND: Training provided by the University of California (UC) Davis to Employment and Human Services Department (EHSD) meets State regulations that allow public institutions of higher education to provide in-kind match funding equal to the California Welfare Department's share of costs, resulting in no expense to the County, and a higher skilled, more informed staff. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Additional classes directed at training staff to provide enchanced customer services will not be available.
