HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03152011 - C.85RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #23–460–1 with Perot Systems Corporation, a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $200,000, to provide professional technical support services with regard to the Department’s Information Systems requirements, for the period from March 1, 2011 through February 29, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: On April 20, 2010, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #23–460 with Perot Systems Corporation, for the period from March 1, 2010 through February 28, 2011, for the provision of professional support services, technical assistance, and consulting to the Department’s Chief Information Officer, with regard to information management and technology planning projects and requirements. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, County will not have access to the specialized technical expertise regarding the Department’s Meditech computer system needed to obtain and manage treatment information, patient histories and other clinical resources at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center.
